With Nano behind me, and a house move looming up ahead, I have been writing significantly less of late. That said, today I sat down with my Marriage of Convenience story that I have not touched in some time. I am reworking the entire first section, which should hopefully get me past the writers block that ailed me. Wish me luck.
So I want to highlight why this is a lot more impressive than it looks on the aurface.
gonna preface this with I am more Furry Adjacent than anything. I mostly went to the local con because a bunch of my friends did and the Chaotic Adorable energy of most suiters is my vibe. Still, I have several friends and acquaintances who suit.
For those unaware: Fursuits are best described as wearing an extra 15-20lbs of carpet sewn to wire mesh with zero ventilation beyond maybe a small fan in the "head".
They're genuinely the best dancer there, because they were locked on the beat and their movements were expressive and sharp under 15lbs of carpet sewn to wire mesh.
All my respect to suiters man. They're a different type.
i just wanna add that most suits are not built off wire mesh. most are actually stuffed with poly fill or built on foam. which is much heavier. the fur itself is heavy, and the foam and polyfil make it even heavier
bc it’s so heavy, fursuit dancers have to GREATLY exaggerate every movement. so this person is moving more and faster than it looks on the surface

I love the idea of a tiny person showing their big friend that they're pregnant and the big friend being all curious and extra careful not to do anything that might hurt their little friend & passenger!

Finally! Another Mer!Bee AU art dump! In initial brainstorms in the charbee discord, Charlie’s late Dad was revealed to be a Merman that decided to become human after falling in love with Mama Watson. Which makes Charlie unknowingly half mermaid. Which is why she is so good at diving and has an affinity for the sea in general (also inexplicably never gets pruny skin and great hair no matter how long she stays in thew water). Once she’s awakened her Mer side she can probably go back and forth from land and sea whenever she likes. Shut up i just want my babies to live happily ever after.
Also, New Mers :D Decepticon!Mers Dropkick (Marlin) and Shatter (Lionfish) and of course some Autobot!Mers! Optimus (Blue Whale), Arcee (Sea Lion), Ratchet (Beluga) and Bulkhead (Sea Turtle). And of course Bee (common dolphin)
Bonus:
The one thing Charlie DOES want to keep is some of her band shirts lol. (also she’s based off a Rockfish)

Oh!!! I almost completely forgot! Charlie riding on Bee’s back was inspired by @8clarify8‘s fic inspired by this Merbee AU called “Hydrophilic” Check it out on AO3 its fantastic so far!
